BAPE + magazines + bonus accessories? That’s a formula for greatness.

Since entering the world of magazines in 2005, A Bathing Ape have released numerous bags, wallets, accessories and other novelty items together with its seasonal e-MOOK catalogues.

An e-MOOK is a publication which is similar to a traditional magazine but intended to remain on shelves for a longer period of time – MOOK being a portmanteau of “Magazine” and “Book”.

Although the contents of each and every BAPE magazine is nothing but enticing – from the latest apparel and news, to countless icons including Kayne West, Pharrell Williams and the Teriyaki Boyz donning the unconventional Japanese brand, the “Furoku” (Japanese for “Novelty”) item included is often what many are eager to get their hands on.

Let’s take a journey through the Bape novelty items released over the last 15 years.

2005 SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION

"BAPE CAMO BLANKET"

A miniature fleece blanket (38cm x 57cm) featuring the timeless green ABC camo pattern, commonly seen on Bape jackets and Bape hoodies that have been released over the years.

"BAPE CAMO BLANKET (VER. 1.1)"

This blanket was released to commemorate Bape’s 23 item collaboration with American Artist Brian Donnelly, better known as KAWS. Nigo (the founder of Bape) and Donelly began working together back in 2001, and have collaborated on various projects since. The Sothbey’s NIGOLDENEYE® Vol. 1 held on April 2019 auctioned off several of these collaborations – one being the Bapesta FS-029 KAWS Chompers. Like the ABC camo blanket, this one is also miniature (38cm x 57cm) and features Pink Bape camo with the KAWS “Bendy” character throughout.

2005 AUTUMN/WINTER COLLECTION

"BABY MILO ANIMAL BADGES [A to Z]"

This Bape magazine novelty included 26 pin badges of various animals, spelling out the complete alphabet – Starting with an “Ape” (a Baby Milo badge) for A, and ending with a Zebra character for Z.

"BABY MILO AIR CUSHION (VER. 1.1)"

The perfect item to decorate your interior, each magazine came with a large cushion with the face of Baby Milo, in one of the 3 colours – black, brown or white. This was just the start of the many home Bape accessories to come.

2006 SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION

“BAPE CAMO TOTE BAG”

Matching the colour of the corresponding magazine cover, this lightweight white Bape camo tote bag (40.5cm x 40.5cm) is a subtle and convenient way to flex on fellow peers. This would pair well with any old or new Bape release thanks to it’s colourway and lowkey design.

“BAPE CAMO SUMMER TOTE BAG (VER. 1.1)"

This Bape tote bag (40.5cm x 40.5cm) also matches the colour of the magazine cover it comes with – a neon blue. It’s transparent design and soft PVC plastic material is reminiscent of Summer pool and beach trips. Bape summer vibes? We think so.

2006 AUTUMN/WINTER COLLECTION

“BAPE TOWEL”

Featuring Bape’s original checkered pattern, this 87cm x 27cm cotton towel isn’t a piece that many would instantly recognise as being “BAPE” due to the absence of branding such as Ape heads, camo, or baby milo. Nonetheless, it’s a functional and aesthetically appealing piece.

"BLACK MULTI CAMO COLOR NECK STRAP (VER. 1.1)"

Okay, now we’re talking. If the towel was a slight disappointment, this 57cm neck Bape lanyard will be sure to resurrect your excitement. A black base permeated with baby blue, light pink and yellow multi colour camo – this is the perfect accessory to add vibrancy to an all-black fit. The white ape head on the detachable section is a nice additional touch. So why not make one of these yours? Cop this exact lanyard at Top Floor Gallery!

2007 SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION

“BAPE CAMO WITH BABY MILO FLEECE BLANKET"

This 58cm x 49cm green fleece Bape blanket features the classic Bape camo along with a handful of Baby Milo characters – some latching onto pieces of camo, some hiding behind Ape heads, while others fully exposed for the whole world to see.

“BAPE CAMO WITH BABY MILO MINI BACKPACK (VER. 1.1)"

When Bape say mini, they mean mini. Almost fitting in the palm of your hand, this pink camo Bape backpack also featuring Baby Milo is a mere H12 X 12 X 5cm. Despite the ridiculously small size, its design and features are that of a standard backpack – adjustable shoulder straps, a top handle, and a large and small compartment with zips. It’s not the most practical item, but a nice little piece nevertheless.

2007 AUTUMN/WINTER COLLECTION

"BAPE SPECIAL ECO BAG"

This compact 32cm x 36cm foldable eco-bag features the same checkered pattern as the 2006 A/W towel, but this time in a brown and green colourway. Is it possible that Bape were ahead of the game, predicting the phasing out of plastic shopping bags that’s happening today? Once again, this Bape bag is sure to let down for those who love all the loud, crazy, heavily branded bape designs, as the Ape head tag (seen on all bape hoodies, jackets, crewnecks etc) is all that is there.

"CHECKERED PENCIL CASE + BAPE CAMO PENCILS (VER. 1.1)"

Why use a regular pencils and store them in a regular pencil case, when you could replace those with BAPE? The 20cm checkered pattern pencil case features the classic Ape head tag, while the pencils are nothing-but-camo. One green, blue and pink camo pencil, each with a gold “A Bathing Ape” spellout, just in case the 17cm’s of camo didn’t get the message across.

2008 SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION

"STA CAMO FLEECE BLANKET"

STA CAMO, better known as “Psyche Camo” is used for this 58cm x 49cm grey and white fleece blanket. The “Sta Swoosh” seen on the Bapesta sneakers are dispersed throughout this 4th blanket drop by A Bathing Ape.

2008 SUMMER COLLECTION

“RESORT CAMO MINI BACKPACK”

A year on from the pink mini backpack, another one is released; this time the green Bape camo covered with white hibiscus flowers, making you want to pack that bag and book a flight to Hawaii. But remembering that this Bape backpack is a mere 13cm tall changes things a little…

2008 AUTUMN COLLECTION

“BABY MILO MOBILE PHONE STRAP"

Baby Milo makes an appearance this season in the form of a plush doll. This 5.5cm x 4.3cm Baby Milo toy is equipped with a pair of removable blue sunglasses. The best part is, Milo’s backside is designed to be used as a screen cleaner for when your phone display needs a little polish.

2008 WINTER COLLECTION

“BAPE CAMO SHOULDER BAG”

This is the first Bape e-Mook bag that can be rocked across the body; the first of many to come. With a decent amount of space for storage (27cm x 52cm), a top zip to keep your belongings secured and adjustable strap, makes this a versatile piece. Not to mention the all-over Bape ABC camo.

2009 SPRING COLLECTION

“BAPEX CLOCK”

In 2002, Bape released the “Bapesta” – a sneaker almost identical to the Nike Air Force 1. “Bapex” is just another infamous example of Bape’s take on an already existing brand. Bape’s line of high-end watches “Bapex” highly resembles arguably the epitome of luxury watches, Rolex. For this e-Mook accessory, the Bapex watch face design has been enlarged to create a 13cm diameter desk clock.

A simple yet stylish design with glow in the dark clock hands makes this a must-have to complete your BAPE interior. This Bape clock is up there with one of the more sought after accessories, and rightfully so.

2009 SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION

"COTTON-SWEATSHIRT TOTE BAG"

Bape takes a different approach with this tote bag, utilising a stretchy, sweatshirt type cotton. This reversible 38cm x 35cm tote bag features a different design on each side, giving you 4 options – a flaming baby Milo, a flaming College Camo, a crowned Ape Head, and Bape “stas”.

2009 AUTUMN COLLECTION

“BAPE COOKIE CAMO LEISURE TOTE BAG”

Out of all the e-Mook tote bag releases, the size of this 09 Autumn drop is unparalleled (38CM X 50CM). The cookie camo design features polka dots, lines and checkered patterns throughout, accompanied by Ape heads of various shapes and sizes. Most definitely an abstract pattern, but Nigo is known for his unique and experimental designs.

2009 WINTER COLLECTION

“BAPE CAMO WATCH”

The 2nd timepiece release by the timeless brand that is A Bathing Ape. The no-number minimalistic watch face design is counterbalanced with the loud iconic green camo covering the entire watch. Telling the time may not be the easiest of tasks, but you’ll have no problem adding some pop to your winter outfit with this Bape accessory.

2010 SPRING COLLECTION

“MULTI CASE”

This 24cm x 12.5cm leopard camo case can store anything from your phone to money and pens with its 7 compartments. It can be sported in multiple ways thanks to the adjustable strap – a practical accessory that still allows you to rock some Bape on body.

2010 SUMMER COLLECTION

“PUZZLE CAMO 2WAY BAG”

This sturdy puzzle camo tote comes in at a close second for size, falling just short of the 2009 Autumn cookie camo bag. But from a functionality standpoint, it’s a clear winner – carry it by the handles or rock it over the shoulder.

2010 AUTUMN COLLECTION

“COLLEGE LOGO TOTE BAG”

This is versatility at its finest. This navy and ivory canvas tote features the instantly recognisable college logo (seen on countless Bape shirts) and handles long enough to rock this piece on the shoulder.

2010 WINTER COLLECTION

“ABC CAMO TOTE BAG”

Another big tote bag makes an appearance – the 36cm x 50cm ABC Camo tote bag is nicely paired with a brown bottom and handles, resulting in a very clean Bape bag for storing your goods. The material on this piece is quite thick, so durability gets a tick.

2011 SPRING COLLECTION

“BAPE DIGITAL WALL CLOCK”

Yet another timepiece, but this time in a digital form. There’s nothing more impressive than a mounted Ape head providing you with the time. This 24cm x 16cm wall clock is a must-have for any Bapehead’s humble abode.

2011 SUMMER COLLECTION

“BAPE MILO GINGHAM LEISURE BAG AND LEISURE SHEET/MAT”

Bape blesses the fans with 2 items in the 2011 summer e-mook, and the overarching theme being “a picnic”. Both the 37cm x 50cm leisure bag and 90cm x 150cm 4-seater picnic mat features a blue and white Gingham pattern with Baby Milos scattered all over.

2011 AUTUMN COLLECTION

“BAPECHECK MINI TOTE BAG”

I guess Bape is an avid fan of tote bags, because they dropped another one for the 2011 Autumn catalogue. This 26cm x 17.5cm tote features the Bapecheck we first saw in the 2006 A/W drop, and has multiple compartments and zippers for easy and secure storage. The small Ape head patch on the bottom left of the tote is a nice subtle touch of Bape branding.

2011 WINTER COLLECTION

“ORIGINAL CANVAS TOTE BAG”

Is there such a thing as too many tote bags? Bape doesn’t seem to think so. A variation of the 2010 Autumn drop, this tote bag is also in a navy and ivory colourway, but this time with a brown ape head and the spellout “A Bathing Ape, Since 1993”. And you can one yours today, because we’ve got it up sale here.

2012 SPRING COLLECTION

“1st CAMO GRADATION TOTE BAG & ORIGINAL POCHI BAG”

Maybe an avid fan is an understatement…Bape comes through yet again with a tote bag; this time in a gradation camo print and a silver clasp with an engraved Ape head located on the top centre. The polyester material makes this a heavy-duty beauty.

This eMook also generously blessed buyers with 10 “Pochi bags” in 3 ABC camo colourways – green, blue and pink. Pochi bag? They are small envelopes typically used to give money to friends and family on New Years in Japan. How much use will you get out of these outside of Japan? We don’t know. But all we know is, they’re fire.

2012 SUMMER COLLECTION

“BAPE LEATHER CARD CASE (REAL LEATHER)”

This is definitely one for those who love a little leather luxury, while subtly flexing a little Bape. This oak brown leather card case features 2 monochrome Ape heads – one on the face of the case, the other as a silver charm. No use for a key case? Take the charm off and combine it with a chain – then you’ve got a true head-turner.

2012 WINTER COLLECTION

“BAPE CAMO MULTICASE & GADGET CASE”

An essential for any traveller, this bape multicase is a compact zippable storage case for your keys, cards, passport, pens…virtually anything that may be dancing around in your pockets – including pocket change. The brown Ape head with a white background is a nice little reminder that Bape is accompanying you on your travels.

2013 SPRING COLLECTION

“BAPE CAMO POCKETABLE BACKPACK”

It’s a camo Bape backpack. And it’s pocketable. What more could you ask for? Unlike the mini backpack back in the 2007 S/S and 2008 summer e-Mook accessories, this one’s actually a practical size and perfect for everyday use. Comprised with ripstop material guarantees durability.

2013 SUMMER COLLECTION

“BAPE CAMO LARGE DRUM BAG”

If the tote bags and backpacks don’t provide you with enough room, this one’s for you. This Bape duffle bag is a generous 42cm in length, featuring an adjustable, removable shoulder strap and 2 regular handles. This is a bag you’d want to secure. (Secure the bag here)

2013 AUTUMN/WINTER COLLECTION

“BAPE CAMO EMBOSSED LEATHER CARD CASE”

Oak brown isn’t really up your alley? Like to keep it black on black? Bape has you covered. This a variation of the 2012 summer card case – this time, black leather embossed with Bape camo. The Ape head charm also makes an appearance once again.

2014 SPRING COLLECTION

“BAPE CAMO MESSENGER BAG”

If you were getting a little tired of tote bags, you’ll be ecstatic to see that Bape has switched it up with a messenger bag. Ample space, an adjustable strap, velcro opening for quick and easy access, and an inner pocket to store smaller goods (such as your Bape pencils and card case maybe?) – this eye catching Bape messenger bag was an exceptional start to the 2014 e-Mooks.

2014 SUMMER COLLECTION

“BAPE CAMO COLLEGE LOGO TOTE BAG”

There are people who like the more lowkey bape. Disclaimer: This is not for them. This piece screams Bape – from the all over ABC camo print, to the pearl white College Camo Bape logo on one side and www.bape.com on the other, you could virtually be a walking advertisement with one of these.

2014 AUTUMN/WINTER COLLECTION

“BAPE CAMO MULTI-SHOULDER POUCH”

Clean. Simple. Practical – this 19cmx12cm camo print satchel is quite unconventional in terms of it’s design and the way it’s opened. Store anything from your phone to ca$h money in this compact accessory. It’s safe to say A Bathing Ape went hard with the camo in 2014.

2015 SPRING COLLECTION

“BAPE CAMO SHARK CUSHION TOTE”

The Ape head has made way for the iconic bape Shark. This tote bag resembles the classic Bape shark hoodies, as seen by the printed zipper design running down the middle of the tote bag. Another key feature is the cotton inner padding, hence the “cushion” in the product name.

2015 SUMMER COLLECTION

“BAPE CAMO BODY BAG”

A similar overall texture to the tote bag above, this Bape body bag is bound to be a favourite for many, due to its versatility. It features a main compartment and an outer pocket, both secured with zippers. The upside down Ape heads is adds an element of uniqueness, despite it being the classic camo seen throughout the previous releases. If you’re in love with this nylon bag, why not cop it here at Top Floor Gallery?

2015 AUTUMN/WINTER COLLECTION

“APE HEAD BACKPACK”

The camo print is on vacation for this backpack, but the heavy Bape branding is still on duty. The enormous white ape head contrasts beautifully with the all black base, making this a standout piece. This ripstop material and adjustable straps complete this backpack.

2016 SPRING COLLECTION

“APE HEAD 2WAY SHOULDER BAG”

Couldn’t get enough of the design of the backpack above? Not to worry – Bape has come through with this number – this bag can be sported as a tote AND a shoulder bag. Who doesn’t like a good old 2-in-1?

2016 SUMMER COLLECTION

“EMBOSSED BAPE CAMO LEATHER TOTE BAG”

Remember that black leather card case from the 2013 A/W drop? Of course you do. The same design is utilised in this tote bag – the embossed camo and leather material epitomises luxury. The amazing thing is, this was available as a bonus item in a Bape magazine. Impressive stuff right?

2016 AUTUMN/WINTER COLLECTION

“BAPE KEY AND COIN CASE”

Hold up…we’ve seen this design before. Not sure where, but it looks awfully familiar. This compact case allows you to secure your keys and store your belongings. With the amount of space in this case and the black leather material, it could even be used as a wallet.

2017 SPRING COLLECTION

“4 POCKET ORGANISER”

Bape kicks 2017 off with the ultimate storage accessory. Featuring a carabiner on the back as well as a waterproof plastic storage compartment to store toiletries, this 4 pocket Bape organiser is a winner in our books. This is no doubt the perfect organiser when you next take flight.

2017 SUMMER COLLECTION

“BAPE LARGE MULTICASE”

Bape is keeping the black theme going, this time with an organiser big enough to be used as a laptop case. The mesh inner pockets allow the contents stored to easily be seen, while the pen and card specific pockets come in handy for students alike. Stay in school kids.

2017 AUTUMN/WINTER COLLECTION

“BAG IN BAG”

The product name says it all – it’s a bag in a bag. This black minimalist sacoche bag features a white Ape head on the left corner, 2 outer pockets with snap buttons, an adjustable/removable strap and a substantial amount of storage.

2018 SPRING COLLECTION

“LEATHER TONE MULTICASE”

Just about as subtle and premium as the embossed tote bag and key/card case from 2013 A/W, this multicase is a perfect addition for any semi-formal outing. Don’t let your special date catch you lacking – have at least some Bape with you. To further boost the “premium feel” of this case, “A Bathing Ape” is embossed on the inside, as you would typically see on branded wallets. Very nice touch.

2018 SUMMER COLLECTION

“LEATHER TONE BIG TOTE BAG”

This is the third consecutive year that BAPE have utilised the black-white minimalist colour combination for its eMook accessories – this time with a very dope tote bag. Yes, another tote bag – but let’s here them out. Decked out in the instantly recognisable camo pattern, but only this time, the pieces of camo aren’t filled with colour AKA “ABC Neon Camo”. This creates a totally different look that we actually dig. Plus you’ve got the spellout on the handles. Very cool.

2018 AUTUMN/WINTER COLLECTION

“MESH AND CINCH BAG SET”

Another 2 in 1 Bape bag for those who like a bit of variation from day-to-day. The mesh shoulder bag on it’s own is extremely dope, synonymous with an avant garde style. The inner nylon pouch can be removed and used on its own if you wish.

2019 SPRING COLLECTION

"LEATHER TONE WAIST BAG"

2018 saw the resurrection of the waist bag, bum bag, or fanny pack. It’s intriguing how a bag such as the fanny pack was forever associated with a 45 year old single male severely lacking in a sense of fashion, but now, it’s a completely different story. Everyone and their mother are now rocking one as a fashion statement. Bape’s 2019 waist bag is a true testament to this shift in the paradigm. With clean white Bape branding against the black body makes for a versatile accessory that can be sported in various ways – Across the body is how we like it. An guess what? You can buy it here at Top Floor Gallery.

2019 Autumn/Winter Collection

"LARGE BACKPACK"

In stark contrast to the bag above, this BAPE item is much more subtle. Featuring a white Ape Head and the staple “Ape Shall Never Kill Ape” phrase running parallel to the main zip compartment, this spacious backpack is perfect for everyday use. The black and white colour choice makes this a very versatile backpack – not to mention its lightness.

2020 Spring Collection

"BIG CAMO DUFFLE BAG"

BAPE decided to return back to the iconic camo for this season. The 2020 Spring collection duffle bag is very similar to the one released in summer 2013, with a few minor differences – including the colour, size and the black/white BAPE patch seen in the photo to the right.
