Mystery Boxes have been around for quite some time now, but are still going strong with new offers popping up regularly. They haven’t dipped in popularity, simply because of the excitement behind opening up a box full of surprises. Sometimes, you may be left a little disappointed and feel like you didn’t get your money’s worth, while other times you may feel like you hit the jackpot.
In Australia, there are a range of Mystery Boxes available online, including a few here at Top Floor Gallery. Let’s go through some of the best Mystery Boxes worth considering.
TFG Designer Mystery Box
Without tooting our own horn too much, our Designer Mystery Box is the first of its kind in Australia (and possibly in the world). We’ve searched the internet far and wide, and have yet to find another Mystery Box that offers 100% Guaranteed Authentic Designer accessories from brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Fendi, Dior, Burberry, Versace, YSL, Chanel + more.
With the total value of the products in the box you receive guaranteed to be greater than the price paid, you simply can’t lose. You can keep all the items for yourself, gift them to friends and family, or even sell them (wink wink resellers).
From Burberry and Dior scarves to Prada and Gucci bags, Fendi and Louis Vuitton wallets, Versace and Chanel sunglasses, you’ll be sure to find some nice products in your Designer Mystery Box. Check it out here - Afterpay and ZipPay available.
Drops AU Mystery Box
Drops AU is a reputable sneaker business based in Melbourne. Aside from offering a wide range of sneakers such as Jordans, Dunks and Yeezys, you can get your hands on Mystery Boxes that, judging from the numerous 5-star reviews, are well worth your money. Their $100 box guarantees 10% extra value, $200 has 12.5% extra value, $300 with 15% extra value and so on. So essentially, the more you spend, the better value you get.
Simply choose your box size ($100 all the way up to $10,000), shoe size, top size, and gender - Drops will then pick out Hyped sneakers, tees, accessories (such as Bape, Supreme, Murakami, Off-White), box them up and ship them to you. If you’re all about the Hype and Streetwear, the Drops AU Mystery Box is worth taking a look at.
Dough Store Hypebeast Mystery Box
Dough Store is a powerhouse in the Australian streetwear scene, offering sneakers, apparel and accessories online. Hypebeast Mystery Boxes can be found on their website, with boxes starting from $150, with the most expensive box being $25,000. You may find Supreme, Bape, Yeezy, Off-White, Nike + more brands in your Dough Store box. However, if you want a chance at getting a pair of sneakers, you would need to buy a $500 (or higher) box. Check out the Dough Mystery Box here!
TFG Hypebeast Mystery Box
Yep, we’re back plugging our own Mystery Box. But hear us out. Our Hypebeast Mystery Box takes a slightly different approach to the others in a couple of areas.
1. No apparel/sneakers - only accessories and miscellaneous goods
This is due to complications that can arise with sizing. Although we could allow customers to select their clothing size, we know many people who would rather see the measurements of tees, jackets, pants etc before purchasing, even if it’s the size they usually wear. Sneaker sizing can get a little tricky too - for example, one shoe brand or shoe model running slightly bigger or smaller than another shoe brand/model (i.e. Nike and Adidas). The beauty about accessories such as bags, keychains, and MISC goods like toys, collectibles, interior displays and plushes is that sizing isn’t a factor.
2. Brand New and Second-Hand
Our Hypebeast Mystery Boxes contain both brand new and second hand (at least 8/10 condition) goods. However, we also give customers the option to contact us (before or after placing an order) if they ONLY want brand new items or ONLY want second-hand items.
The reason why we include both (given the customer is happy with that), is for uniqueness. For many older release items, it is near impossible to find them in brand-new/deadstock condition. However, through sourcing good condition second-hand versions of these, you’re likely to get unique and rare accessories from as early as the 2000s (as well as recent releases).
So rather than opening up a Hypebeast Mystery Box and all the items being Supreme, Bape, Murakami from 2020/2021 that you can already buy on numerous websites, you’re likely to get a mixture of interesting goods that aren’t so easy to find: Bape bag from 2005, Supreme accessory from 2014, Murakami item from 2020, Palace keychain from 2012 etc!
WAVES Mystery Box
Waves AU is a Sydney-based online Sneaker and Streetwear store. With a solid reputation and warehouse constantly loaded with stock, there’s no denying the success of Waves in recent years. The Mystery Box can be found on their website with boxes ranging from $300 to $1000. You can also choose your pants and top size, as well as shoe size IF you select a $800 or $1000 box.
A cool feature they have added is a section for customers to tell Waves about their style and include their instagram handle. That way, Waves are able to customise customers’ Mystery Boxes so it is more in line with what they are more likely to wear. Take a look here!
Re:Store Melbourne Mystery Box
Re:Store is a Melbourne-based streetwear and sneaker store. Trading through their website and physical store in the CBD, it’s a great spot to visit for your sneaker needs. Re:Store offer two Mystery Boxes online
Simply select your size and box value and add to cart. All items are brand new and they guarantee you will get more than your money’s worth.
TFG Bape Mystery Box
We’re back to toot our own horn again. With Bape (A Bathing Ape) having a longer and richer history than other “hype” brands, we decided to create Mystery Boxes solely dedicated to the iconic Japanese streetwear brand.
Our Bape Mystery Boxes contain new and/or second-hand items (at least 8/10 condition), with a guarantee that the total value of the products in the box you receive being greater than the price paid (determined by StockX or general market price).
In your box, you may find accessories such as tote bags, stickers, keychains, socks, interior displays, duffle/shoulder bags, toys, backpacks, hats, pencil cases/pouches, clocks, mugs, wallets/cardholders, badges & more.
It’s a great opportunity to acquire unique and hard-to-find Bape items from the early 2000s to popular recent releases. Click here to check it out!
That's a wrap! If we come across more Hype Mystery Boxes in Australia we think should be in the list, we'll be sure to include them
